Generators

Some values are tedious to produce by hand and costly to get wrong. A unique identifier that collides breaks a database. A cron expression with its fields in the wrong order runs the backup at the wrong time, or never. These generators produce the value and explain what it means.

The UUID generator supports the common versions: v4 for random IDs, v1 for time-based IDs, and v3 and v5 for deterministic IDs derived from a namespace and a name. It also makes ULIDs when you need identifiers that sort by creation time. Generate one or a batch and copy them in one click. The cron generator lets you click minutes, hours, days, months and weekdays instead of memorizing the syntax, then shows the expression next to a plain-English description of when it fires.

The password generator draws from the browser's cryptographically secure generator with rejection sampling, so no character is more likely than another. It shows the entropy in bits instead of a vague strength badge. The QR generator encodes URLs, Wi-Fi credentials and contact cards with no redirect service in the middle, so the code keeps working for as long as the destination does. The Lorem ipsum generator fills a layout while the real copy is still being written.

Random values come from the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), and nothing is sent to a server.
